Origin Story Mama Love Crafts

Hello.

I'm Rosie, the creative behind Mama Love Crafts. I am an artist, illustrator and graphic designer.

I went full-time with my business in Jan 2025 and before this I did it on a more part time basis alongside my job as a mental health nurse. I was a mental health nurse for 14 years but left for a number of reasons including my own health and needing more flexibility for my family.

I love colour, texture, folklore, fairytale and story telling in general. Stories help us connect with each other as humans and is a big focus in my work whether I'm designing your logo, illustrating your book or creating a unique piece of art for you.

Stories were a big part of mental health nursing too. You enter someone's life when they are vulnerable and you learn their story as well as the one they want to tell and you help make it happen.

I have over 7 years creative experience and almost all my work is done by hand whether it be with pencil, stylus, crochet hook, needle or mouse. I do not use AI, although it may be present in some of the tools I use. That being said, I do not use generate AI and will draw all work myself or use stock images licenced for commercial use. 

I have an online shop where you can find my own designs on a number of products from greeting cards, t-Shirts, mugs, stickers and pin badges. As much as possible I use local businesses to supply cards, stickers etc however, some items such as T-shirts are created through Print On Demand as I do not have space for stock. All the designs on my POD products are all drawn by me, no templates so you will not find them anywhere else. I feel passionately that good art and design should be accessible to all, whether that's a print, piece of clothing or branding for your business.
